Classes & Workshops take place right in our shop. Classes are scheduled based on instructor availability. We encourage all forms of needlework and textile art. If you have a talent to share, please contact us above.
Beginning Knitting Series

Join Sew What! for a fun and friendly Knitting Series designed especially for beginners! Learn the basics of knitting in a welcoming environment, with no experience necessary—just bring your creativity and willingness to learn.
The series takes place on Saturdays, September 19, 26 and October 3, 10, and 17, from 1–3 PM. All supplies are provided by the instructor, and classes are limited to just 6 new knitters. All ages are welcome!

Adult Beginning Sewing Series
Saturdays: October 24, 31, November 7, 14 & 21
9:30 AM - 12 PM
Join us for an Adult Beginning Sewing Series designed for beginners ages 19+. Learn basic sewing machine skills and introductory sewing techniques in a fun, hands-on class. The series meets Saturdays from 9:30 AM–noon, with a $50 registration fee and space limited to 6 participants. Questions? Call us at 315-282-7277.
Reversible Slouch Bag Workshop
Thursday October 22, 2026

Join Sew What! for Thursday’s Threads: Reversible Slouch Bag on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 4:30–7:00 PM. This workshop is designed for confident sewing machine users and will teach participants how to make darts and sew a lining while creating a reversible slouch bag. Participants should bring two coordinating ½-yard pieces of woven fabric, and one may be made from upcycled blue jean legs. The workshop has a $5 non-refundable registration fee and is limited to 6 participants. Questions? Call 315-282-7277.
Holiday Workshop
Friday, October 23, 2026 OR Wednesday November 4th
11 AM - 2 PM
Join Sew What! for a festive Holiday Workshop with Katrina, where participants will complete five fun holiday sewing projects in one day! Choose from Friday, October 23 or Wednesday, November 4, from 11 AM–2 PM. Projects include a wall hanging, quilt-as-you-go trivet mat, tissue packet holder, trinket dish, and easy fabric gift bag, with instructions provided for making multiple sizes of each item. The workshop is limited to six confident beginners ages 14+. Registration is $5, with an additional $15 materials fee payable to the instructor on the day of class if materials are needed. Participants should bring their own lunch, water bottle, and sewing machine, or use one provided by Sew What! Questions? Call 315-282-7277.
